Guest Speaker: Dr Almuth McDowall Chartered Psychologist and MSc Occupational & Organisational Psychology Course Director, University of Surrey
'The Psychology of Work-Life Balance – different for women than for men?'
This talk will introduce the audience to work-life balance from a psychological perspective. Almuth will outline theories which can help us to better understand and manage such a wide concept, using questions and interactions with the audience throughout to enable everyone to reflect on their own needs and wants.
The presentation will highlight that whilst in research and the popular domain work-life balance is often seen as a working women’s issue, it is equally important for all members of society. It will conclude with tips for effective self-management.
